Roofing Growth Reporting
See Where Roofing Opportunities Stall
We define the events and the reporting period before showing a chart. Lead-source volume, response time, booking rate, estimate progression, and closed outcomes appear when the connected data supports them. Unknown and missing values are labeled. No animated 'live' numbers without a live feed. A blank scorecard download is available.
The report that showed activity but not progress
Your team produces a monthly report. It shows the number of inquiries, the number of inspections, and the number of jobs. The numbers go up and down each month. The owner looks at the report and cannot tell whether the business is improving.
The report shows activity, not progress. It does not show where the inquiries stall. It does not show the response time. It does not show the booking rate. It does not show which sources produce the best inquiries. The activity is counted, but the progress is invisible.
A report that defines the events and the period, then tracks the progression from inquiry to booking to close, shows where the opportunities stall. The owner can see that inquiries are steady but inspections are dropping, which points to a booking problem. The report tells a story, not just a count.

Responsible person
The office manager owns the data accuracy and the source attribution.
Trigger
A measure has no connected data.
Action
The report shows a dash or 'Set your baseline' for the measure with a label.

The measure is marked as not yet connected and the dependency is recorded.
Responsible person
The office manager owns the connection plan and the baseline setup.
Trigger
A value is unknown or missing.
Action
The report labels the value as unknown or missing rather than guessing.

How the reporting workflow behaves
The workflow starts with definitions. We define the events that matter: inquiry received, first useful response, inspection booked, estimate sent, estimate accepted, job won, job complete. We define the reporting period: weekly, monthly, or a custom range. The definitions come first so the report is meaningful before a single number appears.
Lead-source volume shows where inquiries come from. A source is recorded when the inquiry arrives: website form, phone call, referral link, paid search. The volume is counted by source so the owner can see which channels are producing inquiries. Source attribution has limits: if a source is not recorded, the inquiry shows as 'unknown source.' We do not guess at the source.
Response time is the measure of speed-to-lead. We show the median and the 90th-percentile first useful response time, distinguished from the automated acknowledgment rate. The response time tells the owner how quickly the team responds to a real inquiry.
Booking rate and estimate progression show where the pipeline moves and where it stalls. The qualified inquiry-to-booking rate shows the share of qualified inquiries that reached an inspection. The estimate progression shows the share of estimates that moved to a decision. Closed outcomes show the share of opportunities that were won or lost, with the reason logged.
Unknown and missing values are labeled. A measure without connected data shows a dash or 'Set your baseline.' We do not show animated 'live' numbers when there is no live feed. Deduplication merges duplicate inquiries before counting. The report shows what is known and labels what is not. A blank scorecard download is available so the team can track the measures manually until the data is connected.
Exception handling
When a source cannot be attributed
An inquiry arrives through a forwarded email. The original source is a referral from a past customer, but the email does not carry the referral link. The source is not recorded in the system.
The report shows the inquiry as 'unknown source.' We do not guess that it came from the referral channel. The unknown source count is tracked so the team can see how many inquiries are missing source attribution. If the unknown count is high, the team can improve the source recording at the point of capture. The report is honest about what it knows and what it does not.

Measurement
What we measure
Each measure is defined in plain language. Baselines start as "Set your baseline" until your data is connected. The review period is agreed with your team.
—
Lead-source volume
The count of inquiries by source during the reporting period, with unknown sources labeled.
—
Response time distribution
The median and 90th-percentile first useful response time, distinguished from the acknowledgment rate.
—
Pipeline progression rate
The share of inquiries that advanced from one stage to the next, by stage, showing where the pipeline stalls.
—
Closed outcome rate
The share of opportunities that were won or lost, with the reason logged and the closed count tracked.
Software and access
Reporting connects to your CRM, your lead sources, your phone system, and your scheduling tools. We assess your current setup during planning. A measure shows connected data only when the data is available. We plan the integration before promising a specific report.
Illustrated workflows
Approved case studies will appear once a real case is documented. Until then, these illustrated workflows show how reporting connects to the rest of the system.
Questions
Common questions about this service
- We show numbers only when the connected data supports them. We do not show animated 'live' numbers when there is no live feed. A measure without a connected data source shows a dash or 'Set your baseline' until the data is connected. We do not fabricate a number to fill the space.
